“ÖD” is an abbreviation for “Österreichisches Daumenkino” (= Austrian flip book). It’s also a pun as “öd” can also mean dull and boring in German.

ÖD – Österreichisches Daumenkino: On your mark, get set, go!

ÖD has been presented at Linz 2015 at the Next-Comic Festival for the first time. We are very pleased about the positve response.

Wolf Matzl did animate live on this occasion. The visitors could see for themselves at close different stop-motion animationtechniques.
Even ÖD has played a part – as cinema made of paper.
